Global Impact Excellence

This '**NEW** Award Category recognises an Australian-based organisation or team whose work has delivered measurable impact beyond Australian borders, whether through scaling a product or platform internationally, leading global digital strategy from an Australian base, contributing to international policy or standards, or building technology adopted across multiple countries. 

 This award celebrates the organisations and teams driving Australia's influence on the global digital stage, from scale-ups expanding into new markets to teams within larger organisations leading cross-border initiatives. 

Eligibility Criteria

Company Nomination

The person eligible for this award must:

  • Be headquartered or have a primary base of operations in Australia

  • Have a minimum of 50% of its leadership team identifying as She/Her, She/They, or They/Them

  • Operate in a digital or technology-focused industry or function

  • Be working in a digital or technology-focused role within an organisation with an Australian base of operations

  • Have delivered work that demonstrates verifiable impact in at least one market outside Australia - whether through scaling a product or platform internationally, leading global digital strategy, contributing to international policy or standards, or building technology adopted across multiple countries

  • The achievements described must demonstrate significant progress or milestones during the 25/26 Financial Year

Team Nomination

The team eligible for this award must: 

  • Be based within an organisation with an Australian base of operations
  • Have a minimum of 50% of team members identifying as She/Her, She/They, or They/Them
  • Be working within a digital or technology-focused organisation or function
  • Have collectively delivered work that demonstrates verifiable impact in at least one market outside Australia - whether through scaling a product or platform internationally, leading global digital strategy, contributing to international policy or standards, or building technology adopted across multiple countries
  • The achievements described must demonstrate significant progress or milestones during the 25/26 Financial Year
Assessment Criteria

 What we are looking for in the entry:

  • Clear and concise communication of the global challenge or opportunity identified, and the strategy taken to address it

  • Demonstrated understanding of the international market, audience, or context - including cultural, regulatory, or operational considerations that shaped the approach
  • Evidence of measurable impact beyond Australian borders - whether through international adoption, cross-border partnerships, global user or customer growth, policy influence, or contribution to international standards or frameworks
  • The effectiveness of the growth strategy in delivering measurable commercial outcomes - including acquisition, conversion, retention, revenue, profit, or brand impact
  • The scale and significance of the global outcome - including reach across markets, countries, or communities, and the tangible difference the work has made
  • Creativity and innovation in approach - whether through technology, go-to-market strategy, partnerships, or the application of digital to solve problems at an international scale
  • Ability to navigate the complexity of operating across borders - including stakeholder management, cross-cultural collaboration, or adapting solutions for different markets

Nomination Fee 
 To continue growing and elevating the Women in Digital Awards, a fee of $199 per award nomination is required.
